Gwangju Nam-gu, Inspection of Management Status for 114 Public Restrooms
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Byeong-nae) announced on the 27th that it will conduct an inspection of the management status of public restrooms until the 30th.
The inspection targets include 46 public restrooms installed in commercial stores, 37 restrooms at gas stations and charging stations, and 31 restrooms installed in medical and welfare facilities, churches, and cultural facilities.
The main focus is on the installation of public restroom guide signs, cleanliness of toilets and washbasins, and the availability of convenience and hygiene supplies.
Nam-gu plans to take immediate corrective action for restrooms that do not have external signs or do not provide hygiene supplies through this inspection, and also to establish safety measures for restrooms that require facility repairs to ensure the safety of users.
A Nam-gu official said, “We will do our best to ensure that public restrooms, which are one of the multi-use facilities, are kept clean and well-maintained to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”
