View original image[Asia Economy (Seosan) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] One overseas entrant in Seosan, Chungnam, has been confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to Chungnam Province on the 27th, the confirmed case is a woman in her 30s, A (Chungnam #188, Seosan #11), who entered through Incheon Airport from Kazakhstan on the 13th.
At the time of entry, Ms. A tested negative in the COVID-19 diagnostic test conducted at the airport, and after moving to Seosan and self-quarantining, she was confirmed positive in a retest on the 26th.
The province and quarantine authorities plan to conduct diagnostic tests on close contacts such as the confirmed patient's daughter and husband, and place them under self-quarantine.
Ms. A is currently hospitalized and receiving treatment at Cheonan Medical Center after the positive diagnosis.
Meanwhile, as of 8 a.m. on the 27th, a total of 30 overseas entrants have been confirmed positive in Chungnam.
