Since there are only three patients at Andong Medical Center, the region is on the verge of being declared a clean area.
According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 25th, as of midnight, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the Gyeongbuk area remains at 1,354, the same as the previous day. The number of recovered patients increased to 1,293 (a recovery rate of 95.4%) as one patient who had been receiving treatment at a hospital in another region was discharged, while the death toll remains unchanged at 58.
In the Gyeongbuk area, sporadic cases of overseas importation have been reported, including a man in his 30s who entered Pohang City from Mexico on the 19th, a woman in her 30s who entered Chilgok County from the Philippines on the 20th, and a 65-year-old man from Uzbekistan who entered Yeongju City from the United Kingdom on the 23rd. The confirmed case on the 19th was the first in 13 days. However, no community infections have occurred for eighteen consecutive days.
