Until now, nursing hospitals have prohibited visits by administrative order to prevent group infections, as many elderly patients vulnerable to infections reside there.
However, considering that the social distancing level is currently maintained at Level 1 and the emotional stability of elderly patients and their families, the visitation method has been improved.
Visits are operated by prior reservation, and since ward visits are prohibited to prevent contact with other patients, visits take place in a separate, well-ventilated visitation area prepared by the hospital.
Visitors must check for fever and respiratory symptoms before the visit and fill out a registration form. The movement paths of patients and visitors are separated, and the visitation area is equipped with doors or partitions to limit contact.
This non-contact visitation is temporarily conducted only during the social distancing Level 1 period and may change depending on future policy environments and distancing levels.
