Introduction of Electronic Entry Log at Incheon Port Logistics Facilities... Proactive Response to COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] A QR code-based electronic entry log will be introduced at Incheon Port logistics facilities to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to Incheon Port Authority on the 23rd, the electronic entry log will be operated at 71 cargo warehouses and logistics centers located at Incheon Port docks and hinterland complexes.
Although Incheon Port logistics facilities are classified as 'low-risk facilities' in the government's COVID-19 risk assessment and are not subject to mandatory electronic entry log implementation, this decision was made to proactively respond to the spread of COVID-19.
Accordingly, when entering logistics facilities, individuals must obtain an encrypted one-time QR code via their personal mobile phones and present it to the facility manager. The authority plans to conduct frequent inspections of the targeted facilities and encourage participation in the system.
