Jangseong-gun Operates Period for Comprehensive Removal of Floating River Debris
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 23rd that it will operate the "River Floating Waste Intensive Cleaning and Collection Period" until September 4 to improve river water quality and protect the aquatic ecosystem.
Jangseong-gun plans to promptly collect waste abandoned around the Hwangryonggang area, small streams, valleys, and agricultural water channels.
Among the collected waste, recyclable materials will be sorted and recycled as much as possible, while non-recyclable waste will be outsourced for disposal.
In addition, continuous river cleanup activities will be carried out in preparation for potential heavy rains in the future.
