Operation of the National Intangible Heritage Center Online Exhibition Hall
"Separate Operation of Exhibition Videos...Vivid Exhibition Experience"
The National Intangible Heritage Center will open an online exhibition hall for intangible cultural heritage on its website on the 23rd. This online virtual reality and exhibition commentary was designed with the prevention of the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in mind. Visitors can freely move around the exhibition rooms relying on virtual reality (VR) to appreciate artifacts and listen to explanations. The exhibition includes the ‘Somssibang,’ which conveys traditional craft techniques and lifestyle habits; ‘The Light That Does Not Fade,’ honoring the lives and achievements of holders of national intangible cultural heritage; and ‘Kumnaraeteo,’ which teaches children how to experience new technologies. An official stated, “Exhibition videos can be operated separately, allowing for a vivid exhibition experience.” For more details, please refer to the National Intangible Heritage Center website.
