KOTRA Presents 'Online Exhibition Promotion Strategy' at Chinese Webinar

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] KOTRA presented "COVID-19 Response and Online Exhibition Promotion Strategies" at the "Enhancing International Business Strategies of Chinese Enterprises" webinar hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) on the 22nd.
CCPIT is a trade promotion organization established in 1952 to promote foreign trade and support overseas expansion in China. KOTRA, together with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), participated as invited lecturers and conducted online lectures for CCPIT staff and local government officials in China. KOTRA explained ongoing projects such as the online Korean Pavilion at overseas exhibitions, online exhibitions of excellent Korean products held in 10 regions including China, Japan, and Southeast Asia, and the exhibition video consultation support system.
Since the announcement of quarterly growth rates in 1992, China recorded negative growth in the first quarter of this year for the first time in 28 years. Although a rapid recovery trend has been observed in the second quarter, domestic consumption growth is slower than expected, and difficulties remain for domestic export companies due to the US-China trade dispute.

Hong Chang-pyo, Head of KOTRA's Exhibition & Convention Office, stated, "China requested lectures to benchmark Korea's online exhibition marketing know-how," adding, "The Chinese national trade promotion organization is also paying close attention to the overseas marketing support projects developed by KOTRA."
