Gyeonggi-do Type Basic Housing Built as 'Long-lasting Housing' That Endures 100 Years
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) announced on the 21st that the Gyeonggi-do type basic housing will be built as long-life housing.
Long-life housing involves changing the existing wall-type structure to a column-type structure, making it easy to modify the floor plan and replace plumbing and facilities within the unit. By reducing the number of reconstructions, it is an eco-friendly housing that can reduce construction waste caused by demolition and environmental pollution from new construction.
By securing variability within the household, it can actively reflect changes in family members' life cycles and lifestyles as well as future new residential cultures, providing the basic conditions for long-term residence in the 'Gyeonggi-do type basic housing.'
GH announced on the 23rd that it will designate the Dasan Jigeum District A3 Block (518 units) in Namyangju as a pilot project site to conduct specific demonstrations of long-life housing. Construction in the Jigeum District A3 Block will begin in 2021.
