"Preventing Fatal Accidents in Industrial Sites: KT AI Predictive Maintenance Collaboration"
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT announced on the 23rd that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for an AI-based predictive maintenance business.
Predictive maintenance involves checking equipment conditions to anticipate failures and perform maintenance and repairs.
Through this MOU, KT's AI technology, Daeyang Rollant's conveyor equipment, and Futuremain's predictive maintenance solution will jointly launch an 'AI Predictive Maintenance Solution' in the second half of this year. KT will apply its AI-based sound analysis technology to Futuremain's vibration measurement predictive maintenance solution. Additionally, in collaboration with Daeyang Rollant, they will provide customized AI predictive maintenance solutions across the stages of manufacturing, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair. The three companies expect this MOU to enable economic benefits and the creation of a safer industrial environment.

Kim Chae-hee, Executive Director of KT's AI/Big Data Business Division, stated, “We hope that the AI-based predictive maintenance solution will contribute to solving safety issues and enhancing competitiveness in South Korea's industry,” adding, “KT will continue to lead the digitalization and innovation of various industrial sites based on AI technology.”
