At the MOU signing ceremony held at Jeollanam-do Provincial Office on the 22nd, K Shopping and Jeollanam-do pledged to actively cooperate in discovering outstanding agricultural specialty products and contribute to expanding sales channels and boosting sales for small and medium-sized farms and agro-food companies. The ceremony was attended by Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeollanam-do, and Lee Pil-jae, CEO of KTH, among others.
Jeollanam-do is recognized as a hub for eco-friendly agriculture and fisheries, ranking first in certified areas for eco-friendly agricultural and marine products as well as the number of farms certified for eco-friendly livestock production. Additionally, the province continues efforts toward sustainable life industries through projects such as the creation of a Smart Farm Innovation Valley and the goal of zero marine waste.
K Shopping plans to showcase various products starting with a broadcast selling Jeollanam-do’s Chodang corn on the 27th through "Hajin’s Matjip (Hajin’s Mat.Zip)," a program featuring excellent local specialties. Based on a business agreement with Haenam County Office, K Shopping has already introduced "Ttangkkeut Haetsal Su (秀) Rice" and ice-roasted sweet potato products on Hajin’s Matjip. Building on the MOU with Jeollanam-do, K Shopping intends to discover more diverse specialty products and work to expand sales channels for local small and medium-sized merchants.
Furthermore, K Shopping plans to operate a ‘Namdo Market’ brand section not only on TV sales broadcasts but also on the K Shopping online mall and mobile platforms. Through ‘K Shopping Farmers,’ K Shopping’s fresh food specialty brand, products will also be listed on the TV app to further expand sales channels.
