Aekyung Industrial CEO Lim Jae-young Joins COVID-19 Overcome Support Challenge
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Jaeyoung Lim, CEO of Aekyung Industrial, announced on the 23rd that he participated in the campaign ‘Thanks to Challenge,’ which aims to join forces in overcoming the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
CEO Jaeyoung Lim, nominated by Kolon Industries President Heegu Jang, delivered a message of support and gratitude to the medical staff dedicated to preventing the spread of COVID-19 and to the public, together with employees at Aekyung Industrial’s headquarters located in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
Jaeyoung Lim, CEO of Aekyung Industrial, said, “We deeply appreciate the dedication of the medical staff working to overcome COVID-19 and everyone striving to prevent its spread,” adding, “All employees of Aekyung Industrial will strictly adhere to quarantine guidelines and do their best to provide support to overcome these difficult times together.”
CEO Lim nominated the next participants: Dongyeop Kang, CEO of Daewon Hwasung; Jooyoung Park, CEO of Daekyung ONT; and Junghui Lee, CEO of Shock Korea.
Since February, Aekyung Industrial has supported essential goods worth approximately 4 billion KRW, starting with supplies for temporary facilities for overseas Koreans returning from Wuhan, followed by oral care products for nurses on the COVID-19 frontlines, and aid for underprivileged groups facing economic difficulties due to COVID-19.

This challenge is a public participation campaign started to support medical staff working hard to treat COVID-19 patients. Recently, it has expanded to a campaign supporting all citizens joining efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Participants post photos including sign language expressing thanks and respect along with related hashtags on social media and nominate the next participants in turn.
