[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] 'Golmok Sikdang' stars Kim Sung-joo and Jung In-sun highly praised the new menu at the Pohang Deopjuk restaurant.

On the afternoon of the 22nd, the SBS variety show 'Baek Jong-won's Golmok Sikdang' aired a segment where Baek Jong-won, along with MCs Kim Sung-joo and Jung In-sun, revisited the Kumteul-ro alley in Pohang.

That day, Kim Sung-joo and Jung In-sun visited the Pohang Deopjuk restaurant to taste their Deopjuk. Upon seeing the dish’s initial appearance, the two expressed their anticipation, saying, "Just by looking at the visuals, it feels like risotto and also has a Chinese cuisine vibe."

The owner presented the signature dishes 'Siso Deopjuk' and 'Somun Deopjuk.' After tasting the 'Siso Deopjuk,' Jung In-sun said, "This is a flavor that the senior will like," looking at Kim Sung-joo, who responded with admiration, "Oh, it’s delicious. I thought the meat would be tough because it’s big, but it’s not."

Jung In-sun praised, "It’s not greasy. Even though the meat and all the ingredients are cut into large pieces, it’s tender." Hearing this, Baek Jong-won expressed satisfaction, saying, "Since the meat is tender, it seems the problem was addressed. It looks like the advice was not forgotten and properly applied."

Kim Sung-joo ordered more and evaluated, "It’s really delicious. I want to give this 95 points. Usually, juk (rice porridge) doesn’t taste good, but this is a juk with flavor."

However, after tasting the 'Somun Deopjuk,' Kim Sung-joo changed the score for the 'Siso Deopjuk.' He said about the 'Somun Deopjuk,' "The ingredients are very generous. The owner has improved a lot. I didn’t expect this kind of taste," adding, "There’s a spicy kick in the middle, which I think is better."

He continued, "The 'Somun Deopjuk' is spicy and has a nice seafood aroma. I need to revise the earlier score. This one gets 93 points because it’s more delicious. The other one is 99 points. It totally hits my taste."
