Selected for Gwangju Dong-gu 'Resident Life Innovation Case Expansion Support Project'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 22nd that it has secured 80 million won in project funds after being selected for the "Resident Life Innovation Case Expansion Support Project" hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The Resident Life Innovation Case Expansion Support Project is a program that selects and supports excellent innovation cases of local governments discovered through various evaluations and excellent case competitions hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety last year, focusing on cases that can be expanded nationwide.
Last month, Dong-gu applied for the Jisan 1-dong "Miro Village Sarangchae" creation project and was selected in the first round. On the 15th, it was finally selected as an excellent case through an on-site presentation evaluation at the "Demo Day" held at the Sejong Government Complex.
Jisan 1-dong "Miro Village Sarangchae" is a space provided free of charge by Moon Byung-ro, chairman of the Miro Village Residents' Council, who was saddened by the lack of shared spaces for residents.
Going forward, this place will be utilized as a shared kitchen, multipurpose room, and book garden as a complex community space for residents. Various programs such as ▲ healthy cooking classes for single-person households ▲ sharing side dishes with vulnerable groups ▲ small performances with music will be conducted, aiming to develop it as a village community room to restore the spirit of coexistence and cooperation.
