40-Year-Old Man Booked for Attempted Sexual Harassment in Unisex Restroom of Commercial Building
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] A man in his 40s who attempted sexual harassment against a woman in her 20s in a unisex restroom was arrested by the police.
The Changwon Jungbu Police Station in Gyeongnam announced on the 22nd that they have detained and are investigating A (41) on charges of attempted rape causing injury.
A is accused of entering a unisex restroom in a commercial building in Jungang-dong, Seongsan-gu, Changwon City, around 2 a.m. on the 21st and attempting to sexually harass a woman in her 20s, B, who was there.
It is reported that when B tried to lock the restroom stall door, A forcibly opened the door, attempted harassment, and indiscriminately assaulted the woman using his hands and feet.
B reportedly sustained injuries to her head and back due to A's assault.
A was arrested on the spot after B's companions outside the restroom heard screams and reported to the police.
During the police investigation, A reportedly stated that he was intoxicated at the time.
