Adidas MyDreamFC Awards Scholarships to Aspiring Soccer Talents
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Adidas Korea has awarded scholarships and sponsorship goods to two promising youth soccer players.
Adidas Korea announced on the 22nd that it provided a scholarship and sports equipment to students Shim Juwon and Lee Jihee, who were selected as soccer scholarship students of My Dream FC, and delivered an autographed message of encouragement from national team goalkeeper Cho Hyunwoo, who is sponsored by Adidas Korea.
An Adidas Korea official said, "We understand that many aspiring soccer players are having difficulties training this year due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). We support young people who love sports to not lose hope and courage in difficult situations and to achieve their dreams."
Now in its eighth year, Adidas My Dream FC is a representative social contribution project of Adidas that supports sports coaching and equipment in various sports such as soccer, basketball, and fitness for children and youth in areas where it is difficult to access professional sports education, as well as providing opportunities to meet athletes and character education.

The Adidas My Dream FC scholarship is even more meaningful as it is funded by donations voluntarily collected since 2014 by Adidas store owners called "Dream Supporters" to support promising elite athletes. This year, My Dream FC has postponed its coaching program considering the safety of participating students due to the COVID-19 situation.
