[Breaking] Team Doctor and Coach Arrested in 'Late Choi Sook-hyun Assault' Case
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] Kim Gyu-bong (42), the coach accused of abuse within the Gyeongju City Hall Triathlon team, was arrested by the police on the 21st.
Judge Chae Jeong-seon, in charge of warrants at Daegu District Court, issued the arrest warrant during the pre-arrest suspect interrogation (warrant review) for Coach Kim, stating there was a "risk of evidence destruction and flight."
Coach Kim is suspected of abuse, including beating and verbally abusing current and former athletes, including the late Choi Sook-hyun.
