LG Electronics Donates 30 Steam Appliance Stylers to Health-Vulnerable Groups

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] LG Electronics announced on the 21st that it will donate 30 units of the ‘LG Tromm Styler’ to vulnerable health groups through the Korea National Council on Social Welfare as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts.
LG Electronics held a donation ceremony at the Korea National Council on Social Welfare located in Mapo-gu, Seoul, attended by Seo Sangmok, Chairman of the Korea National Council on Social Welfare, Jang Boyoung, Executive Director of LG Electronics Living Appliance B2B/Incubation Business, and others.
The Korea National Council on Social Welfare plans to deliver the stylers to vulnerable health groups such as child care facilities and group homes (shared living homes).
The LG Tromm Styler features a TrueSteam function that boils water at 100 degrees Celsius (℃) to sterilize 99.99% of harmful bacteria on clothes and remove odors and house dust mites embedded in the garments.
The hygienic sterilization standard course of the Styler removes 99.99% of Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, and others, according to tests by the Korea Institute of Science and Technology. After nine years of research and development, LG Electronics introduced the Tromm Styler in 2011. This product holds 220 global patents.
Seo Sangmok, Chairman of the Korea National Council on Social Welfare, said, “We expect LG Electronics’ warm technology to help ensure the safety and health management of vulnerable groups.”
