A Man in His 50s, Despairing, Scratches Police Station Glass Saying "Send Me to Prison"

The Gwangju Western Police Station announced on the 20th that they have detained and are investigating A (50) on charges of attempting to damage public property by trying to break the entrance door of a security center.
A is suspected of hitting the glass door of the Gwangcheon Security Center in Seo-gu, Gwangju, three times with a stone at around 1:03 a.m. that day, causing scratches.
A was caught in the act by a police officer on duty at the security center that day.
The entrance door was made of reinforced glass, so it was not severely damaged.
It is known that A was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
During the police investigation, A reportedly stated, "Life is hard. Please send me to prison."
