[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Dongshin University announced on the 20th that the Naju Boksamri Burial Mounds Exhibition Hall (Director Lee Jeongho) has been selected as a certified institution for educational donation career experience on the Ministry of Education's national service platform for student career experience, ‘Kkumgil’.
The Naju Boksamri Burial Mounds Exhibition Hall is jointly operated by Dongshin University and Naju City.
‘Kkumgil’ means ‘Guide for Dreaming Children,’ and since 2016, the Ministry of Education has been selecting educational donation career experience institutions through certification.
The goal is to discover local community experience institutions and provide high-quality career experience services to local residents.
According to this selection, Dongshin University’s Naju Boksamri Burial Mounds Exhibition Hall can use the Ministry of Education’s certification mark for three years until July 15, 2023, and will conduct career experience education based on local cultural heritage.
Through the currently operating ‘Creative and Emotional School of Cultural Heritage,’ it plans to support experiential education programs that help understand society, history, and scientific principles embedded in ancient cultural heritage.
It also plans to develop various cultural heritage education and career experience programs to provide services to local residents.
During the previous three years, Dongshin University’s Naju Boksamri Burial Mounds Exhibition Hall provided cultural heritage education to 4,373 elementary and middle school students through the local cultural heritage education project, a public contest project by the Cultural Heritage Administration. This year, it is implementing the local cultural heritage education project targeting 1,560 students.
