Jeonju Traditional Culture Training Center Welcomes Tourists for Hanok Old House Traditional Culture Experience
‘Dongheon Sagadang, Operation of Jeonju Hanok Village's 4 Dang 5 Rak’
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jaehee] Jeonbuk Jeonju Traditional Culture Training Center operates a program where visitors can soothe their weary minds by experiencing traditional culture in the serene old houses of Hanok Village.
On the 20th, Jeonju Traditional Culture Training Center announced that from the 12th to the 23rd of next month, it will hold the ‘Dongheonsagadang, Jeonju Hanok Village 4 Dang(堂) 5 Rak(樂)’ program twice, each lasting 4 days, where participants stay in old houses and experience five kinds of enjoyment.
This program was prepared to allow citizens and travelers to escape from daily life, stay in Hanok houses, enjoy leisure in life, and to promote Jeonju’s excellent cultural heritage.
The program is divided into two sessions from the 12th to 16th and 19th to 23rd of next month, featuring experiences such as Seonbi culture experience, Jeonju fan making, traditional tea drinking, meditation and yoga, Hanok Village story tours, humanities special lectures and nights of Pungnyu, and traditional Hanok experiences.
Additionally, participants can experience Jeonju Hanok Village cultural experiences, library visits, and tours of historic sites, museums, and art galleries, enjoying the outstanding culture of Jeonju.
Moreover, participants can join the representative programs of Jeonju Traditional Culture Training Center, including the Dang-sang-gwan experience, humanities lectures, and meditation sessions for mental and physical relaxation.
The program is open to anyone aged 20 or older, with participation available for up to 10 rooms on a first-come, first-served basis. The participation fee is 100,000 KRW per person for a single room and 140,000 KRW for two people sharing a room, including three meals over five days.
