Gwangju City to Distribute 80 Additional Electric Cargo Vehicles... Applications Accepted from the 21st
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 20th that it will supply an additional 80 electric cargo vehicles, reflecting demand, after distributing 70 electric cargo vehicles in the first half of the year.
In particular, 20% of the additional supply quantity will be preferentially allocated to vulnerable groups, families with multiple children, and buyers replacing old diesel vehicles.
The eligibility criteria are the same as in the first half: residents who have lived in the Gwangju area for more than six months, companies and organizations with business sites located in the Gwangju area, and support is provided in order of vehicle delivery.
The types of electric cargo vehicles eligible include 5 ultra-small types, 1 light type, and 4 small (1t) types, with subsidies ranging from 7.62 million to 24 million KRW per electric cargo vehicle.
Citizens wishing to purchase can check the supported vehicle types on the Gwangju city website, then visit the sales office of the electric vehicle manufacturer to sign a vehicle purchase contract. From 9 a.m. on the 21st, they can apply for support through the purchase subsidy support system at the sales office.
Electric vehicle purchasers who receive subsidies must comply with the mandatory operation period of two years according to Article 79-3, Paragraph 1 of the Enforcement Rules of the Air Quality Preservation Act.
