[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] President Moon Jae-in has decided not to lift the restrictions on the controversial Greenbelt areas. However, to expand housing supply, he agreed to explore and utilize state-owned sites, including maximizing the identification of national and public facility sites and discussing the use of the state-owned Taereung Golf Course site.
On the 20th, President Moon Jae-in and Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun held a weekly meeting at the Blue House, where they decided on measures to increase housing supply, according to a press release from the Prime Minister's Office.
Furthermore, President Moon and Prime Minister Chung agreed to maximize the identification and securing of various national and public facility sites to secure housing land, in addition to previously reviewed alternatives for expanding housing supply.
