View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] As the rainy season has officially begun recently, concerns among people preparing to move have deepened, drawing attention to preparation methods for moving during the rainy season.
Home service startup Miso proposed on the 18th a list of preparation items for customers planning to move during the rainy season and tips to minimize property damage.
First, during the rainy season, humidity is high, causing food to spoil quickly, so it is advised to minimize food items before moving and store any necessary perishables in an icebox. Additionally, Miso emphasized that it is good to prepare plenty of dry towels during the move. This is because it is difficult to predict rainfall on the moving day, and if luggage gets wet from rainwater while unpacking, it can be wiped off immediately with towels.
When moving during the rainy season, the high humidity can cause mold and bacteria to spread rapidly inside the house, potentially leading to bacterial skin diseases. Therefore, Miso stressed the need for deep cleaning through professional moving cleaning companies that clean floors, walls, and ceilings thoroughly. In particular, since bathrooms, restrooms, and kitchen sinks are always exposed to moisture, meticulous cleaning from ventilation fans to drains is necessary, and attention should be paid to removing moisture after cleaning.
