[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) will hold an ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI) Recruitment Solution Interview Special Lecture’ to strengthen the employment capabilities of female job seekers in the region amid the growing trend of non-face-to-face recruitment due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

The training will be held on August 12 and 17 from 2 PM to 5 PM at the AI Room in the Seodaemun-gu Lifelong Learning Center and Convergence Talent Education Center.

An AI competency test expert will explain the recent AI interview recruitment trends, including the principles, procedures, and evaluation factors.

Additionally, participants will experience AI competency test programs currently used by actual companies.

Starting at 9 AM on the 20th of this month, 13 participants for the first session (August 12) and 12 participants for the second session (August 17) will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those wishing to attend can download the application form from the notice section on the Seodaemun-gu website, fill it out, and send it via email (sulsul11@sdm.go.kr), or apply by scanning the QR code on the promotional flyer or through the Google link.

The tuition fee is 5,000 KRW, and applicants can only register for one day between the first and second sessions. If a participant has a fever symptom, entry to the lecture venue on the day will be prohibited, and wearing a mask is mandatory during the training.

An AI interview is conducted online non-face-to-face through a webcam and microphone installed on a computer. The AI analyzes the applicant’s facial expressions, pronunciation, and gaze based on big data, asks in-depth questions, and conducts competency analysis games.

Moon Seok-jin, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, stated, “We expect this special lecture to reduce concerns about AI interviews and improve adaptability,” adding, “We will continue to make multifaceted efforts to support job seekers’ successful employment amid changing recruitment trends.”
