Shinhan Life Launches 'Simple Insurance Claim Service' Based on Blockchain Technology
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Shinhan Life Insurance announced on the 17th that it has launched the insurance industry's first 'Simple Insurance Claim Service' using open API to enable customers to claim insurance benefits more conveniently.
By using this service, customers can easily send receipts and medical records required for insurance claims via mobile without having to visit the hospital in person.
This allows customers to claim insurance benefits immediately through the application (app) after paying hospital bills without issuing separate documents, thereby enhancing customer convenience. Meanwhile, the company can secure accurate customer data and streamline insurance payment operations.
This service is available at Samsung Seoul Hospital, Seoul National University Hospital, and Yonsei Severance Hospital, and was carried out through a technical partnership with the healthcare platform company 'MediBloc.' In particular, Shinhan Life Insurance directly built a system infrastructure using open API, enabling system integration without additional development in the future, and plans to further expand hospital partnerships.
