Gangbuk-gu, Second Half Non-Face-to-Face Civil Defense Training
Replacing Civil Defense Training with 1-Hour Cyber Education from August 17 to December 16
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Kyum-soo) announced that due to the continued maintenance of the infectious disease crisis alert level 'Severe' caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the second half of the year civil defense training will be changed to a non-face-to-face format.
The district stated that to prevent the spread of infectious diseases that may occur during group training, cyber training will be conducted for all civil defense members.
Previously, members in their 1st to 4th year attended 4 hours of group training, while those with 5 or more years received 1 hour of cyber training or emergency assembly drills.
Training participants can access the Smart Civil Defense Training website from August 17 to December 16 to take a 1-hour cyber training course. Before the lecture, they must enter their name and date of birth for identity verification.
The program consists of content such as the duties and roles of civil defense members, nuclear and chemical, biological, radiological defense, life rescue, first aid, fire prevention, response, recovery, and restoration systems for natural disasters like earthquakes, tsunamis, typhoons, and heatwaves, as well as infection prevention useful for daily safety.
Participants can complete the course by answering at least 14 out of 20 multiple-choice questions correctly after watching the video, and if necessary, they can also receive a certificate through the website.
Additionally, members who participate in blood donation and submit their blood donation certificate to the local community service center will be considered to have completed the training. This measure takes into account the continuous decrease in blood reserves due to infectious diseases.
