Mobile Payment Platform Zel Pay Launches Real-Time P2P Easy Transfer Service... First Among Domestic Banks
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] Woori Bank announced on the 16th that its U.S. subsidiary, Woori America Bank, has partnered with the local mobile payment platform Zelle Pay to launch a real-time simple remittance service.
Zelle Pay is a digital payment platform jointly established by major U.S. banks such as JP Morgan, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo. Currently, over 500 banks in the U.S. have partnered with Zelle Pay to provide simple remittance services. Real-time transfers are possible using account numbers, email addresses, or phone numbers. Among Korean banks operating in the U.S., Woori America Bank is the first to offer this service.
