According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 16th, at 2:01 a.m. that day, patient number 112 in Gwangju (a woman in her 90s from Hanul Nursing Home), who was receiving treatment for COVID-19, passed away.
Patient 112 was a resident of Hanul Nursing Home and a contact of caregivers patient numbers 72 and 77 in Gwangju. She was confirmed positive on the 5th and was receiving treatment at Chonnam National University Hospital.
She did not have any particular COVID-19 symptoms, but her condition worsened and she was reportedly receiving high-flow oxygen therapy.
