According to a report by KBS on the 15th, a source familiar with the European football transfer market stated, "Practical negotiations are underway between Beijing Guoan and Tottenham regarding Kim Min-jae's transfer. Both clubs are positive about the transfer," adding, "Tottenham has offered a transfer fee of 12 million euros (approximately 16 billion KRW), while Beijing has proposed a higher amount of around 17 million euros (approximately 23 billion KRW), and both sides are currently coordinating."
If Kim Min-jae transfers to Tottenham, he will join teammate Son Heung-min, raising expectations among domestic football fans.
Meanwhile, Kim Min-jae made his professional debut in 2017 with Jeonbuk Hyundai. In 2018, he won a gold medal as a national team member at the Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games, resolving his military service issue.
