Gyeongbuk Gimcheon-si to Sequentially Reopen 'Senior Welfare Facilities' Starting from the 20th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gimcheon City in Gyeongbuk announced on the 15th that it will sequentially reopen senior leisure welfare facilities, which had been closed to prevent the regional spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), starting from the 20th.
The representative senior leisure facilities in Gimcheon include 522 senior centers and senior comprehensive welfare centers. From the 20th, senior centers applying the first phase of the stepwise program for reopening will, in principle, restrict meals and be used only as cooling shelters during the heatwave. The senior comprehensive welfare center will initially operate only the senior academy and plans to conduct small-scale indoor programs starting August 3.
