[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Carrot General Insurance announced on the 15th that it has launched the 'Carrot 9900 Children's Insurance' product, which provides medical coverage benefits for children's injuries and illnesses for 9,900 KRW per month.
This insurance product is available for children aged 0 to 15 years and offers coverage over a 3-year period. With a monthly premium of 9,900 KRW for all ages during the coverage period, it provides differentiated coverage by age for 14 items, including injury-related disability benefits (up to 5 million KRW), daily hospitalization allowance (up to 30,000 KRW per day), emergency room visit medical expenses (up to 50,000 KRW per day), cast treatment costs, surgery fees, and more.
In particular, the insurance selectively covers frequently occurring medical cases such as emergency room visits, daily hospitalization allowance, and burn/fracture diagnosis fees to reduce the premium burden, and all coverages can be overlapped with existing children's insurance policies.
Following the launch of the 'Carrot Student Short-term Disease Safety Insurance' in May, Carrot General Insurance plans to continue expanding the market by developing reasonable products that prepare for risk situations children may face in daily life, including the newly launched Carrot 9900 Children's Insurance.

A Carrot General Insurance official stated, "Compared to existing products where premiums and payment periods are relatively burdensome, this product offers reasonable coverage with a premium of 9,900 KRW per month for 3 years, significantly lowering the enrollment hurdle for parents," adding, "Just like PerMile auto insurance, this product will demonstrate that children's insurance can also be differentiated when made by Carrot."
