On the 16th, Online Public Forum Held at Songpa-gu Office... Live Broadcast of Discussion on 9 Agendas via YouTube... Selected by Mobile Voting
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) will hold a large-scale public forum using an online live broadcast on the 16th to share cooperative governance agendas amid the COVID-19 situation.
The district is promoting the ‘Community Innovation Plan’ project, in which residents actively participate in all processes from planning to execution and evaluation to solve local issues.
This public forum, titled ‘Songpa Cooperative Governance Pride,’ is a venue for establishing next year’s Community Innovation Plan.
Prior to the forum, since March, the district has identified nine necessary agendas for Songpa-gu through various opinions from the Songpa-gu Cooperative Governance Committee, experts, and project departments. In four areas?education & culture, transportation & safety, welfare & social economy, and environment?proposals include ▲Happy Future Design Education for Local Children and Youth ▲Installation of Pedestrian Crossing Safety Devices ▲Songpa Social Economy Living Lab ▲Songpa Environment Keeper Development Project.
The online public forum ‘Songpa Cooperative Governance Pride’ will be held on the 16th from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. The 4th-floor auditorium of the district office will be used as a studio, and the live event will be broadcast on YouTube. Participants include the Songpa-gu Cooperative Governance Committee, residents, and relevant department officials, who will share the nine agendas and discuss prioritization.
The live broadcast can be freely viewed by anyone on the dedicated YouTube channel, and viewers can participate in communication through comments.
Alongside this, the district is conducting a seven-day voting process to gather residents’ opinions using the pre-voting (mVoting) system. Until the 16th, residents can access the ‘mVoting’ app or the ‘Seoul mVoting’ website and select up to three preferred agendas per person.
At the final stage of ‘Songpa Cooperative Governance Pride,’ the results of the mobile voting on the nine agendas will be announced, and the selected agendas will be reflected in next year’s Community Innovation Plan.
Mayor Park Seong-su stated, “The driving force leading Songpa-gu is the active participation and communication of residents in district administration,” adding, “Even amid the COVID-19 situation, we will closely communicate through various methods such as online public forums and present a new ‘cooperative governance’ administrative model led by residents.”
