According to the county on the 14th, the mural project at Sancheong Market was promoted to decorate the somewhat old and unsightly walls of the public parking lot and to revitalize the local commercial district.
The current Sancheong Market public parking lot was the site of a cattle market where cows were bought and sold in the 1970s.
The murals were painted to recall the scenes of cattle trading at that time and the nearby shops.
Meanwhile, Sancheong-gun has created a “Memory Mural Street” with various themes over the past 10 years, receiving positive responses from both local residents and visitors.
