Jungnang-gu Conducts 'Dongbyeonghachi Program' to Care for Children's Health
Dream Start Conducts Dongbyeonghachi Program for 20 Children Until August 21
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) will conduct the traditional Korean medicine service program "Dongbyeong Hachi (冬病夏治)" until August 21.
The program targets 20 Dream Start children aged 3 to 5.
As the meaning of "Dongbyeong Hachi (冬病夏治)" suggests, which is to treat illnesses such as colds, rhinitis, and asthma that easily occur in the cold winter by using traditional Korean medical treatments during the summer, the program is held in July and August when summer energy is abundant to manage children's winter illnesses.
This program has been conducted since 2015 through a business agreement between the Dream Start Central Support Group under the Ministry of Health and Welfare and Jungnang Hamso Pediatric Korean Medicine Clinic (Director Son Byung-guk).
The treatment is operated by reservation until August 21, and children in Dream Start who are vulnerable to health or suffering from respiratory diseases receive pulse diagnosis-based treatment and are sponsored with Sambok patches and Saenggi tea.
In particular, Jungnang Hamso Pediatric Korean Medicine Clinic has been consistently leading community sharing activities, such as sponsoring Hamso Pharmaceutical nutritional supplements and vitamins for Dream Start children every year.
