Haenam Songho Beach 'Advance Reservation System' Operation
Social Distancing, Limit of 500 People per Day
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Songho Beach in Haenam is scheduled to open on the 18th, and with the peak summer vacation season approaching, it is expected to attract crowds as a domestic travel destination. Therefore, a Safe Beach Reservation System will be implemented.
According to Haenam County on the 13th, the reservation system has been in operation since the 10th and will run until the 9th of next month. It is a system where visitors select dates through a reservation site, and some on-site registration is possible depending on the number of reservations.
Visitors with reservations must undergo a temperature check and confirm their reservation at the main entrance, then wear a QR wristband to gain entry.
The Safe Beach Pre-Reservation System includes a self-diagnosis checklist at the time of reservation, and by adopting a QR code system, electronic entry logs will be managed. On-site registrants must fill out a manual entry log.
Additionally, to prepare for the spread of COVID-19, outdoor shower facilities will be added, social distancing numbers will be assigned to tent zones around the pine forest, and parasol rest areas on the beach will be operated.
In particular, during the beach opening period, a sand sculpture exhibition will be held, featuring five large sand sculptures including the main piece?a 6m long, 8m wide and tall sandcastle?as well as a 4m tall Frozen-themed sculpture, a rock giant, Pengsoo and friends, and Animal Crossing.
The sand sculptures at Songho Beach are being created by world-renowned sand sculpture artists Choi Ji-hoon and Ji Dae-young.
Also, sand sculpture experiences that visitors can participate in will be operated by reservation twice a day on the 1st?2nd and 8th?9th of next month. Water leisure activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding will also be operated by reservation from the 25th of this month until the 9th of next month.
