Pohang City Deploys Electric City Buses... 'Call Center' to Minimize Route Reorganization Confusion
From the 25th, 63 Electric Buses Deployed on 10 Routes
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Pohang City, Gyeongsangbuk-do, announced on the 11th that it is operating a dedicated call center for the bus route reorganization to minimize inconvenience to citizens ahead of the city bus route reorganization scheduled for the 25th.
According to Pohang City, since the existing bus numbering system will change due to this route reorganization, causing initial confusion, the call center is being operated in two shifts from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
In addition, on bus stops with high usage, on-site guides will be assigned to provide direct route information. After completing job training on the 23rd, these guides will assist elderly passengers and those having difficulty finding routes for one week starting from the day of the route reorganization on the 25th.
Park Sang-gu, head of Pohang City's Public Transportation Division, stated, "Although there will be initial inconvenience due to the route reorganization, more convenient public transportation use will be possible through straightening curved sections, shortening dispatch intervals, and increasing the number of vehicles."
