Seoul Gangseo-gu, Delivery Service for Traditional Markets Using Delivery Apps
Through the delivery app 'Noljang (Come to the Market)', Bangsin Traditional Market and Kkachisan Market allow you to purchase goods and receive delivery at home without visiting the market.
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Noh Hyun-song) announced that it has launched a ‘Traditional Market Delivery Service’ using a delivery app to revitalize the local economy, which has been stagnated due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
This service was prepared to increase market accessibility and support traditional market merchants in a situation where online product purchasing has become routine.
The district provides a changed traditional market experience where customers can purchase and receive goods at home without visiting the market through the delivery app ‘Noljjang (Come to the Market)’ in cooperation with Bangsin Traditional Market and Kkachisan Market.
‘Noljjang’ is a traditional market customized platform that allows users to check everything from product preparation to delivery status and estimated time, enabling them to conveniently receive fresh goods at the same price as buying on-site.
To use the service, install the ‘Noljjang’ application, sign up as a member, and order the desired items.
The delivery person's basic information is shared with the orderer in real time, ensuring safety, and if within a 1.5 km radius of the market, delivery can be made quickly within two hours.
The delivery fee is 3,000 won regardless of the purchase amount.
Various events are also being held to attract users' interest.
Until the event quantity (1,800 units) is exhausted, a 5,000 won voucher is provided on the first order, and free delivery benefits are offered to the first 9,000 customers, allowing payment without delivery charges when ordering.
The district has completed preparations to support mobile sales, including establishing dedicated delivery centers at Bangsin Traditional Market and Kkachisan Market, and has been operating ‘Noljjang’ since the 7th.
