Turkey Reports Over 1,000 New COVID-19 Cases for Fourth Consecutive Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] The number of new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Turkey has remained in the 1,000s for four consecutive days.
On the 10th (local time), the Turkish Ministry of Health reported that the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases increased by 1,024 from the previous day to 209,962. The cumulative death toll rose by 18 to 5,300.
Turkey's daily new confirmed cases stayed in the 700-800 range in early last month. However, as restrictions were eased, including the reopening of restaurants and cafes, the number rose to as high as 1,500 in mid-last month. Since then, it has shown a gradual decline.

The total number of recovered patients is 190,390, with a recovery rate of approximately 90.7%.
