Gokseong-gun Strengthens COVID-19 Prevention Inspections at Welfare Facilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Gokseong-gun, Jeonnam, is focusing on disinfecting welfare facilities to block local transmission following the spread of COVID-19 infections in the Gwangju area.
According to Gokseong-gun on the 9th, the county conducted COVID-19 disinfection guidance and inspections at 22 social welfare facilities from the 1st to the 3rd of this month.
The inspection team visited 14 group living facilities, 7 local children's centers, and 1 communal living home to check compliance with disinfection guidelines and provided guidance on installing non-face-to-face visitation areas. They also distributed 3,394 masks and urged thorough disinfection.
Furthermore, since Jeonnam entered social distancing level 2 on the 6th, the inspection targets have been expanded, and disinfection is being carried out at 372 locations until the 17th.
In addition to welfare facilities, multi-use facilities such as wedding halls, funeral halls, and multicultural family support centers are also included in the inspection targets. A checklist has been created and is being used for systematic inspections, and inspections will continue regularly even after this round is completed.
