40-Year-Old Man Arrested for Throwing Pet Dog from 9th Floor Over Bathroom Issues
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] A man in his 40s was arrested by the police for throwing his dog out of the 9th floor of an apartment building because the pet could not control its bathroom habits.
The Yangsan Police Station in Gyeongnam announced on the 9th that Mr. A was booked without detention on charges of animal abuse (Animal Protection Act) for throwing his pet dog from a high floor of an apartment.
Mr. A is accused of throwing two Maltese puppies he was raising out of his apartment on the 9th floor in downtown Yangsan at around 6:34 p.m. on the 8th.
The puppies hit a tree and fell into a flower bed; they did not die but were reported to be seriously injured.
During the police investigation, Mr. A reportedly stated that he committed the act because the dogs defecated anywhere.
