SeAH Steel Holdings launches 'SS Direct'... Online direct transactions for steel pipes now possible
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] SeAH Steel Holdings announced on the 9th that it will launch the square pipe online direct transaction platform ‘SS Direct’.
‘SS Direct’ is an online platform for selling square pipe products, the first of its kind established by SeAH Steel Holdings in the structural pipe industry, with 235 types of square pipe products registered by material and size. It is a total online service that allows customers to check real-time quotes, purchase, and arrange delivery all at once through mobile and PC.
Through ‘SS Direct,’ SeAH Steel Holdings plans to omit the usual procedures such as dealership distribution stages and face-to-face quote confirmation, providing customers with competitively priced products compared to market prices and improving accessibility for new customers. In particular, due to the characteristics of the steel market where purchase volumes are small and it was difficult for individuals and small to medium-sized customers to purchase square pipe products individually, it is expected that the usage frequency will be high, leading to increased sales through securing various sales opportunities.
Along with the launch of SS Direct, same-day delivery service within the metropolitan area will also be provided. This boldly applies the same-day delivery service, which was previously centered on the consumer goods market, to steel products, as part of SeAH Steel Holdings’ market differentiation strategy. In fact, SeAH Steel Holdings introduced a ‘Pipe Center’ in Ansan last November and maintains a monthly inventory of 50 million tons of square pipe products such as black square pipes, white square pipes, and color-coated square pipes, establishing a same-day delivery system within the metropolitan area.
‘SS Direct’ operates on a membership basis, and membership registration is completed after a simple verification process upon submission of basic documents including business registration certificate and bankbook copy. When ordering, customers enter the required products, quantities, and delivery information, check the quoted price, and then decide whether to place the order.
