View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jaehee] The fulfillment rate of campaign promises by Kang Imjun, mayor of Gunsan City, marking the 2nd anniversary of the 7th local government, was revealed to be 69.7%.
On the 8th, the city held a report meeting on the status of the 7th local government campaign promises in the mayor's office, focusing on inspecting 169 campaign projects across five major sectors.
The report meeting was attended by relevant department heads and campaign project managers, where discussions were held mainly on projects with low fulfillment rates, including reasons for delays and future countermeasures.
Among the total 169 campaign projects, 55 projects have been completed, including the establishment of a citizen participation platform, the foundation for commercial district revitalization, the introduction of a rotating primary care physician system for senior centers, expanded support for infant injury insurance, and installation of voice recognition CCTVs in high-crime areas.
Additionally, 23 projects have been fulfilled over 80%, 54 projects over 50%, and 37 projects under 50%, resulting in an average fulfillment rate of 69.7%.

Mayor Kang Imjun stated, “Improving the quality of the actual project content is more important than merely increasing the formal fulfillment rate of campaign promises,” adding, “For underperforming projects, we will do our best to prepare implementation plans as soon as possible to ensure they are carried out according to the goals.”
