KOSPI Turns Negative... Falls to 2150 Level
KOSDAQ Maintains Level Around 760
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] The KOSPI fell slightly, dropping to the 2150 level.
As of 11:18 a.m. on the 8th, the KOSPI index recorded 2157.18, down 0.32 (6.99 points) from the previous day. It started slightly higher than the previous close at 2166.76, rose to the 2170 level, but soon declined to the 2150 range.
The selling pressure from foreigners and institutions appears to have driven the index down. Foreigners and institutions sold a net amount of 163.8 billion KRW and 115.2 billion KRW, respectively. Meanwhile, individuals purchased 289.5 billion KRW.
On the other hand, the KOSDAQ index maintained the 760 level. At the same time, it recorded 760.79, up 0.21% from the previous close. It dropped to 758.38 around 9:44 a.m. but slightly recovered afterward.

In the KOSDAQ market, foreigners sold a net amount of 53.7 billion KRW, while individuals and institutions bought net amounts of 54.9 billion KRW and 7.7 billion KRW, respectively.
