Democratic Senator Bob Menendez (New Jersey) stated on his Twitter on the 7th (local time), "The U.S. government has reported to Congress that it has notified the WHO of its withdrawal."
President Donald Trump had expressed his intention to terminate relations with the WHO on May 29, blaming the WHO for the COVID-19 pandemic, but there had been no concrete progress until now.
