Hanacard Launches 'Hanamoney Check Card'..."Use Hanamoney at All Merchants"

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Hana Card announced on the 6th that it launched the 'Hana Money Check Card,' which can be used at all affiliated stores by utilizing Hana Money (points), on the 3rd.
The Hana Money Check Card is a product selected as an innovative financial service by the Financial Services Commission in October last year. It was launched as a mobile-only card centered on digital issuance channels, combined with Hana Card's all-around digital services.
Even without a separate bank account, users can link their Hana Money from Hana Members and make payments at all credit card affiliated stores. Applications and issuance are available through the Hana Members application.
When paying at credit card affiliated stores, Hana Money from Hana Members is deducted. If the Hana Money balance is insufficient, users can apply for ▲account recharge partner point conversion ▲hybrid service (credit transactions up to 300,000 KRW) to use the card.
Regardless of the previous month's performance, users earn ▲0.2% Hana Money on payment amounts when used at domestic online affiliated stores ▲0.1% at all other affiliated stores except domestic online stores, up to a maximum of 2 million Hana Money.
As a launch event, Hana Card plans to provide until the end of this month, after issuing the Hana Money Check Card, ▲one mobile gift certificate for a Starbucks Americano (tall size) for payments over 10,000 KRW per transaction ▲1,000 Hana Money upon automatic Hana Money recharge.

A Hana Card official said, "The point-based check card has the advantage of a hybrid service that allows credit transactions up to 300,000 KRW even if the Hana Money balance is zero," adding, "In the future, we plan to maximize convenience by adding international brands and postpaid transportation services and collaborate in various forms with external partners managing points."
