COVID-19 Confirmed Case in Kazakhstan Entrant Residing in Hong Eun 2-dong, Seodaemun-gu
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seodaemun-gu announced that a man in his 30s who entered through Incheon Airport from Kazakhstan on the 22nd of last month was confirmed positive for COVID-19 on the morning of the 5th.
This man, the 36th confirmed case in Seodaemun-gu, tested negative for COVID-19 at the Seodaemun-gu Public Health Center screening clinic on the day of his arrival, the 22nd.
He then maintained self-quarantine at his home in Hong Eun 2-dong and underwent another test at the Seodaemun-gu Public Health Center screening clinic on the 4th, just before the end of his quarantine, which returned positive on the morning of the 5th.
Typically, self-quarantine is automatically lifted after 14 days, but Seodaemun-gu guides overseas entrants to undergo a COVID-19 test before quarantine release and fully covers the cost.
