The first match of the second round was between Dalgona and Malnyeon Byeongjang. Dalgona chose Lyn's 'Saranghaetjanha (I Loved You),' while Malnyeon Byeongjang passionately sang Shin Hae-chul's 'Jazz Cafe.' Malnyeon Byeongjang's confident stage presence led to Dalgona's defeat.

Malnyeon Byeongjang advanced to the third round with an 11 to 10 vote, and when Dalgona removed the mask, she was revealed to be Kim Chaewon, the main vocalist of the girl group April. Malnyeon Byeongjang, who showcased a singing style full of his own personality, was defeated by Ojingeo with a score of 14 to 7.
