'Non-face-to-face Medical Consultation for Overseas Construction Workers' to be Implemented in Q3
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] As confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have emerged among overseas construction workers, the government has decided to start remote medical consultations for overseas workers within the 3rd and 4th quarters of this year.
The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCH) announced on the 5th that it will support the early establishment of the "Overseas Korean Non-face-to-face Medical Service," which was temporarily approved through the regulatory sandbox on the 25th of last month, at overseas construction sites.
The Overseas Korean Non-face-to-face Medical Service is a system where medical institutions provide medical consultations or treatments to overseas Koreans via phone or video calls based on information entered online by the overseas Koreans.
