According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 3rd, a 37-year-old woman residing in Sangju City returned through Incheon Airport on June 16, then self-quarantined for two weeks at an acquaintance's house in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, and after returning home, tested positive at Sangju Public Health Center on the 2nd following specimen testing.
The spouse and two children who returned together all tested negative. Health authorities have ordered 10 close contacts to self-quarantine while investigating the infection route.
As of midnight on the 3rd, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the Gyeongbuk area has increased to 1,348. The number of recovered patients is 1,283 (95.1%), and deaths total 58.
